Land is and always has been a constant in my life. It’s why my roots run so deeply in Western Kentucky and it’s how my family has made a living for four generations. Before turning to real estate, I was a farmer and owned a cattle business. I was tending to God’s creations and supplying people with food and those two connections to land were hard to beat. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to find the same feeling again when we sold the cattle business, but I did when I joined Whitetail Properties. I’ve always loved land and I’ve grown to respect it as one of our Country’s greatest assets. I started hunting on land near my home in Western Kentucky at a young age and, once I picked up a bow, became obsessed with archery hunting anything in season. I worked on the land on different farms through high school and college and grew to appreciate the science and strategy behind crops and successful farming, which led me to my first career as a consultant for a large ag company. I became fascinated with the fact that each piece of land is different and exclusive. They don’t produce land in a factory. That’s what drew me to real estate and Whitetail Properties. I get to work with people who’ve owned land for generations. Their pride, respect, and appreciation for the land is obvious and contagious. It’s a daily reminder for me that land is precious and we must remain good stewards in order for the next generation to enjoy it.
